Privacy policy
How Lease Remarketing Services Inc. handles the information you give us on this website.
Effective date: October 27, 2026
Lease Remarketing Services Inc. ("LRS", "we", "us") buys cars, trucks and leased vehicles. This policy explains what personal information we collect through leaseremarketingservices.com, why, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the choices and rights you have, including under California law.
What we collect
Information you give us
- Contact details: name, phone number, email address, preferred way to reach you, and city, state and ZIP (street address is optional).
- Vehicle details: VIN or license plate, year, make, model, trim, mileage, colors, condition, accident and modification history, notes you write, and whether the vehicle is owned, financed or leased.
- Financial details about the vehicle: your estimated loan or lease payoff. We do not ask for Social Security numbers, bank account numbers or card numbers on this website.
- Photos of the vehicle. When photos are added through the website, location data (GPS) is removed from them before they are uploaded.
- Messages you send through the contact form, by text or by email.
Information collected automatically
- Device and connection data: your IP address, browser type and device, the pages you request and when, and the website that linked you to the page, recorded in our server logs to keep the site secure and working and to count how many people visit and which pages they read. We work out an approximate location (city, state and country) from your IP address on our own server; it is never sent to an outside analytics company.
- How you found us: the website that referred you, the first page you visited and any advertising tags in the link (such as utm_source). This is stored in your own browser for 30 days and sent to us only if you submit a form.
- Bot protection: Cloudflare Turnstile checks that forms are sent by a person. It may read technical signals from your browser for that purpose only.
- When you submit a form we record the date and time, a scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address and your browser type, as a record of your request and your consent to be contacted.
How we use it
- To review your vehicle, make you an offer, and contact you about it by phone, text or email.
- To complete a purchase: confirm your payoff with your lender or leasing company, prepare title and DMV paperwork, and pay you.
- To answer your messages and questions.
- To keep the website secure, prevent spam and fraud, and fix problems.
- To see how many people visit the website, which pages they read and how they found us, so we can improve it.
- To keep the business records the law requires of a California vehicle dealer, and to meet other legal obligations.
We do not use your information for automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you. A person reviews every offer.
Text messages
If you agree to be contacted, we may text you about your vehicle and your offer. Message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop texts, or HELP for help. You can also ask us to stop by phone or email. We do not sell or share your mobile number or your text messaging consent with anyone for their marketing.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only as needed for the purposes above:
- Your lender or leasing company, to get a payoff figure and complete the sale.
- Government agencies, such as the California DMV, for title transfer and registration, and when the law requires it.
- Service providers who work for us under contract and may not use your information for their own purposes: our website host (OVH), Cloudflare (bot protection and encrypted storage of backups), Google Workspace (email), and our phone and texting providers.
- The US government VIN service (NHTSA), which receives the VIN you type so it can fill in the year, make and model. It does not receive your name or contact details.
- Google Maps, which is shown on our Contact and About pages. Google may set its own cookies when the map loads, under Google's privacy policy.
- A buyer of our business, if the business is ever sold or merged, under this same policy.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We have not done so in the past 12 months. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
How long we keep it
- Vehicles we buy: the purchase records and the seller details in them are kept for as long as California law requires dealers to keep them, and longer only if needed for a legal claim.
- Offer requests and messages that don't lead to a purchase: kept for as long as we may still do business with you about that vehicle, and no longer than the period we keep purchase records.
- Server logs are deleted after 8 weeks. Anti-spam rate-limit records are deleted after 1 day.
- Backup copies are kept for disaster recovery and deleted as they age out.
Cookies and similar technology
We don't use advertising cookies, third-party analytics trackers or tracking pixels. We count visits ourselves from our server logs (see above), without cookies. Our own site uses only what it needs to work: browser storage for how you found us (see above), and a sign-in cookie for our staff. Cloudflare Turnstile and the Google Maps embed are run by those companies.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control: because we don't sell or share personal information or track you across other sites, there is nothing for these signals to switch off. If that ever changes, we will honor Global Privacy Control as a request to opt out.
How we protect it
Information is sent over encrypted connections, stored on access-controlled servers, and only our staff can view it, using two-factor sign-in. Uploaded files are scanned for viruses. No system is perfectly secure, and if a breach affects your information we will tell you as the law requires.
Your California privacy rights
If you live in California, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information we have collected about you, where it came from, why we use it and who we share it with, and get a copy of it.
- Delete personal information we collected from you, except what the law requires or allows us to keep (for example, records of a completed purchase).
- Correct information that is wrong.
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We don't sell or share it, so there is nothing to opt out of today.
- Limit the use of sensitive personal information. We use the sensitive information we hold (such as your loan or lease payoff) only to complete your sale.
- Not be discriminated against for using any of these rights.
To make a request, email contact@leaseremarketingservices.com or call (714) 902-1388. We will confirm your identity by matching details you gave us, such as your phone number and vehicle, and respond within 45 days. You can use an authorized agent; we may ask for proof that you gave them permission. We don't disclose personal information to third parties for their direct marketing, so California's "Shine the Light" law does not apply.
Wherever you live, you can ask us to update or delete your information, or to stop contacting you, the same way.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new effective date. If a change is significant, we will put a notice on the home page before it takes effect.
